Our Team

Dr. Chris Hefner grew up in a pastor's home and has been a follower of Jesus since he was eighteen. He and his wife, Jean were married in 2003. They have two sons. He came to Wilkesboro Baptist as the Senior Pastor in August 2015.

He also serves as a Professor of Western Civilization and Apologetics at Fruitland Baptist Bible College, Hendersonville, NC. He earned his Ph.D. in Evangelism and Church Growth from the Billy Graham School Missions and Church Ministry at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
