Steve Robinson

Lay Elder

Steve Robinson was born the third child of ten and raised in Enid, Oklahoma.

He graduated from Enid High School and then attended Grand Rapids School of Bible & Music, graduating with a diploma in Christian Education. After serving as the Director of Christian Education and Youth in his first full-time ministry, Steve felt the need to attend seminary for more training.

He then received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Grace College and continued at Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana, for his Master of Divinity degree. Steve also received a diploma from the Institute of Holy Land Studies while in Israel. Steve’s first full-time ministry began in 1971 as Director of Christian Education and Youth at Berean Bible Church in Columbus, Indiana, where he was also ordained as a minister in 1972.

His testimony then and now: "I attended church all my life and can never remember a time that I did not believe in God, Jesus Christ, or the Bible as God’s Word. I do not know the date of my salvation, but I can vividly remember the time I left my junior church classroom and went into the hall with my teacher, Mrs. Holly. That day I understood how I was a sinner and trusted Jesus’ payment for my sin on the cross. I accepted His free gift of eternal life. I strayed from the Lord during junior high and part of high school and found myself doubting my salvation. The Lord used some very unique circumstances to get my attention and my dedication to Him.

I know, on the basis of the Word of God, that when I die I will spend eternity with Christ my Savior." Steve went on to pastor several churches in Indiana and Ohio and has more than 47 years of ministry experience. Steve retired January 1, 2018, from a pastorate of 15 years and God orchestrated a move from northwest Ohio to Millers Creek on September 15, 2018. Steve and his wife Ethel have been members at Wilkesboro Baptist since February 2020.
