Vince Adams

Lay Elder

Vince Adams was born on April 29, 1958 in Denton, NC.


He lived in Davidson County and attended Fairview Methodist Church until 1970, when he moved with his parents to the Brushy Mtn. community of Wilkes County. There he began attending Bethany Baptist Church where he accepted the Lord Jesus as Savior.


He was baptized in 1971 and joined the church then. Vince married his high school sweetheart, Sandra, on December 17, 1977. After rededicating his life in 1981, he began serving the church by teaching Sunday School. On February 3, 1991 he was ordained as a deacon. He later joined the Gideon ministry in 1995 serving as Memorial Bible chairman, area Memorial Bible coordinator, as well as camp president. 


On November 15, 1998 he answered the call to preach. Vince was ordained to the ministry of preaching the gospel on March 19, 2000 after being called to Liberty Baptist Church as pastor (2-13-00 to 7-3-05). After five years at Liberty Baptist, Vince returned to Bethany serving as Youth Director, Sunday school director, and Sunday school teacher. 


Vince was called to Maple Grove Baptist Church in 2010 and was there for seven years (2-1-10 to 9-24-17). Vince and Sandra began attending Wilkesboro Baptist in October 2017, and they joined on March 8, 2020. Vince currently serves as an adult Sunday school teacher at Wilkesboro Baptist. Vince and his wife Sandra live in the Brushy Mtn. community and have three adult children: Wesley, Andrew, and Autumn.
